How do I stop my duvet slipping?

One of the most annoying things about cheaper duvets is the fact that very often the duvet itself can become lumpy with the material within the duvet cover slipping down into one area and leaving much of the duvet cover uncovered. Not only is his annoying when you are sleeping but it can be very difficult to rectify, often requiring much “flapping about of your duvet” until the next time. So how can you rectify this annoying slippage within your duvet cover?

The main reason there is such slippage within some of the cheaper duvets is the fact that they are literally a one-piece duvet within your duvet cover. The more expensive the duvet the more likelihood that it will be sectioned off into different compartments thereby reducing slippage and ultimately giving you a better night’s sleep. Even though these compartments do cost a little extra they are themselves filled with the duvet filler and because each one covers a smaller area there is less chance of slippage and less impact upon your sleep.

When we say more expensive duvet covers, you will be surprised at the cost of even those at the luxury end of the duvet market because competition in this particular area and advances in duvet technology have had a big impact on sales trends and markets. Do not forget that the quality of your duvet can impact significantly on the quality of your sleep and it is really a matter of finding a balance between the two.
